Former consumer health business of J&J includes Stayfree, Carefree and o.b. brands

Kenvue, the former consumer health business of Johnson & Johnson, began trading on May 4 on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “KVUE” in connection with its initial public offering (“IPO”). Chief executive officer and director, Thibaut Mongon, and members of the Kenvue Leadership Team celebrated by ringing the Opening Bell. “Helping consumers realize the extraordinary power of everyday care is at the heart of who we are and what we do,” says Mongon. “As a global leader at the intersection of healthcare and consumer goods, our carefully curated portfolio of science-backed, iconic brands has been trusted by consumers and recommended by healthcare professionals for generations. We are ready to bring a new view of care to the world.” In November 2021, J&J announced its intent to separate the company’s Consumer Health business, creating a new publicly traded company. The separation creates two global leaders that are better positioned to deliver improved health outcomes for patients and consumers through innovation, pursue more targeted business strategies and accelerate growth. In September 2022, J&J revealed the name Kenvue as the new Consumer Health Company. Kenvue (pronounced ken·view), is inspired by two powerful ideas: “ken” – meaning knowledge, an English word primarily used in Scotland, and “vue,” referencing sight. With rich knowledge of human needs and deep consumer insights, Kenvue will deliver meaningful, personal health solutions. “Unveiling the Kenvue brand is a defining moment for our stakeholders and an important part of the planned separation,” Mongon said at the time of the announcement. “We breathe life into some of the world’s most iconic and beloved brands every day, so we harnessed that same expertise, love, and energy into developing our new corporate identity.” Kenvue will continue to touch the lives of over one billion consumers worldwide every day through its iconic portfolio of beloved brands such as Aveeno, BAND-AID Brand, Listerine, Neutrogena, Tylenol, Johnson’s, Stayfree, Carefree and o.b., and will continue its longstanding legacy of innovation.
